# Grindset

> Keep your local agent working while your MacBook is closed.

Start a protected session, close your MacBook, and let the work continue. Grindset keeps your Mac awake with its lid closed, then restores normal sleep when the session ends.

Kind: Mac App. Stage: private-alpha.

## Features

- **Close the Lid:** Lock In starts a guarded session that lets local work continue with the lid closed. An available network keeps connected work moving.
- **Sleep Comes Back:** An independent guard restores normal sleep after the session ends or the app exits, including a crash or force quit.
- **Set an End Time:** Work for 30 minutes, 1, 2, or 4 hours. The guard also ends the session when battery power reaches 10%.
- **Coffee Break:** A quick camera mirror, a photo booth, and a menu bar calendar for the moments between work.

Version: Release candidate · no public binary yet

Lid-close support is the core feature. The candidate passes automated recovery tests; signing, notarization, and a real closed-lid MacBook acceptance test are still required for the first download.

Requirements: Candidate targets macOS 13+, Apple Silicon + Intel; MacBook hardware acceptance pending
